My family‘s been camping here for years. We were in bunkhouse one and it was beautiful inside ( they have different sizes to rent out ) ! Everything was clean. The air conditioning worked great ! Bunk house had 4 bunk beds, a full size bed , table with 2 chairs, sofa , recliner, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and an air fryer ! A beautiful bathroom with plenty of hot, hot water and plenty of room to move around . They have bath houses that are cool inside ( AC ) with showers in each one & always clean ! The pool is amazing & the coldest water I’ve ever seen in a pool ! They also have a playground for the kids & a pond to fish in ! If you own your own camper they have plenty of beautiful spots for those also ! ! If you haven’t already tried them out , you’re missing out ! Awesome people & beautiful campground!

My husband and I love this quiet, clean and very laid back campground. Very peaceful environment and absolutely taken care of by the management staff. I highly recommend and we will certainly be going back.

We camped here June 19-22 while attending a softball tournament nearby. This campground is great! Very easy to reserve, very well maintained, and staff went over and above to accommodate us. Even offering to let us check out late after the game was over. They have a nice pool, wonderful playground, and a trail and pond. Campsites are a choice of gravel or concrete pads, most have some shade, and all are pretty level. The entire park was clean with clean private bathrooms available. Very reasonable rates as well. Highly recommend!

Jason and Dawn Smith are no longer the owners of The Oaks Family Campground and RV Park. Since Jason passed away October 2024 The Smith family has not been affiliated with The Oaks. It truly saddens me to see the negative reviews. Jason spent a year of his life designing and building the park. His main goal was to provide a friendly, safe and fun place for families to enjoy. I worked there for 2 years managing the park after he had a life altering heart attack and his health declined. Willie and Cheryl Hobbs were truly an answered prayer for us when they moved in. They were a perfect fit for our park as Campground hosts. They both were constantly looking for ways to help us that went beyond what their responsibilities were and the guests LOVED them and I'm certain they continue to povide that same service. I hope things can improve for The Oaks because it truly is a beautiful park and such a blessing for Covington County. Lisa Smith

We ABSOLUTELY LOVE our time at the Oaks! Great place for kids, familys, gatherings or even a peaceful getaway for 2. Great staff who keep everything running smoothly, nice and clean bathhouse, event area (with scheduled events) pool, large fun playground, dog park & pond to fish or just enjoy nature. Best of all GREAT PEOPLE! As long as you give respect then you will get respect! We go every year and throughout the year and never once had an issue! As always we will continue to enjoy each time we come!! Thank you for having such a wonderful place we all love to visit! The Ryan crew

This is our third Memorial Day weekend at the park. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. While they don't stay in the office continuously, they do make rounds frequently and are on site if help is needed. The grounds are clean and grass is cut. The pool is always enjoyed and a great place to make new friends. There is a pond for fishing as well as cabins that are available. The bath houses are kept clean and are air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. Never had a problem with having hot water. It feels far enough away from town that you can easily see the stars at night but restaurants and Walmart are only 10-15 minutes away. A Dollar General and Fletcher's is a 2 minute drive. I look forward to our next stay here!
